Steve applies his experience with multiple industries and product technology launches to building a foundation for successfully bringing IBST products and services to market in the U.S. from the Institute’s base in New Jersey. Steve has developed a comprehensive commercialisation strategy that involves an understanding the U.S. healthcare system history, current model, and anticipated changes as well as bringing established relationships and credentials within the healthcare community in payer, provider, manufacturer, government and consulting industries. Steve reaches out to build a network of industry contacts for advice, investment, purchase, and license of IBST applications and spin-off entities and to build a foundation of awareness, understanding, acceptance and credibility for IBST technology products and pipeline services.
Steve has earned degrees in Economics from Tufts University in Massachusetts and Marketing from Syracuse University in New York. His Master’s Thesis focused on the diffusion of innovation as relates to corporate structural barriers between technology and marketing in an era of corporate re-engineering with a case study of the 3M Corporation. He has been recognised by the American Marketing Association with a Silver Effie.
During a 25-year career, Steve has served in business development, product management, marketing communications management, internal communications consultant, journal magazine publisher, and general strategic marketing consultant roles in the healthcare provider/payer/pharma, legal, labor, NGO, insurance, consumer products & foods, tool & die / precision stampings, chemicals, construction, banking, and professional publishing industries. He has worked with several well-known organisations, such as: Advanstar Communications, Aetna Health Plans, AmeriHealth-Mercy Health Plans, Bristol-Myers Squib, Center for Advanced Injury Care, Children’s Liver Foundation, Colgate-Palmolive, Johnson & Johnson, Lawn-Boy, LeClairRyan, Merck, Molnar Tools, Advisory Council on Safety & Health, PRISM Health Solutions, Ragu Foods, Rhone-Poulanc, Stonehouse Media, and UPMC Health Plans & Health Systems. Steve’s relationships extend to industry, academia, media, labor, and government.
