The Institute of Bio-Sensing Technology, as part of the University of the West of England, is leading on the establishment of two new iNets - the Microelectronics iNet and the Biomedical iNet. The iNet is a Networking for Innovation product within the Government’s Solutions for Business programme and aims to signpost, strengthen and support these important industries here in the South West of England.
The iNets support businesses in turning ideas into new products and services. The iNet does this by providing access to specialist information and research, linking businesses to new markets and through sharing knowledge and expertise.
iNets South West are supported by £13 million of funding from the South West RDA, the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) and partner investments andwill run from mid 2010 to 2013.
